According to the announcement from the office of H. E. Ayatullah Seestani (long may he live) in the holy city of Najaf, Monday 26 June is the first day of Eid al-Fitr al Mubarak in the United Kingdom, European, Scandinavian countries, Middle East and the rest of the world.

We pray to the Lord Almighty to unite the word of Muslim and bring back this Eid with goodness and blessing He is All Hearing and [He] Answers Prayers.

In the Name of the Most High
After sunset on Friday 26 May, the sighting of the moon crescent with the naked eye for the holy month of Ramadhan, in Iraq, the surrounding regions, the United Kingdom, European and Scandinavian countries, has not been ascertained by His Eminence Sayyid Seestani (long may he live). Therefore, Saturday will be the last day of the month of Sha’ban and Sunday 28 May will be the first day of the month of Ramadhan.
We ask Allah Almighty to let this month be a blessing for all Muslims. Allah is the All Compassionate All Merciful

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE START OF MAHE MUBARAK RAMADHAN WILL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GUIDANCE RECEIVED FROM HIS EMINENCE AYATULLAH UL UZAMA SYED SISTANI (MAY ALLAH GRANT HIM A LONG HEALTHY LIFE)
