The KSIMC of London through the various committees over the past several years has been looking for an alternative property that would serve the increasing needs of our community including sporting facilities.
Continuing in the spirit of efforts made by all past committees, we have also been carrying on with the search.
By the Grace of the Almighty, we are now studying a proposed piece of land seriously as it has the potential to fulfil the needs of our community.
The land in question is a Green Belt site and is readily accessible to the community, with a building already approved for use as Place of Worship, Sporting and Social Use. In planning terms, it has D1 and D2 use.
Moreover, it is secluded in that there are no neighbours around whose wellbeing and comfort is also a concern.
It also has easy traffic access and parking spaces that are some major concerns we have in our current centre.
At this stage, we are preparing to make a comprehensive presentation to the General Body. We shall share with you further details as soon as we are ready to do so.
We would like you to pray for the success of our mission to look for an ideal property that will suit our requirements for generations to come.
With Salaams and Duas
For and on Behalf of the Executive Committee and Trustees KSIMC of London 16 November 2014
On behalf of the President Mustafa Jaffer, the executive committee, the ladies committee and the trustees of KSIMC of London, I extend a cordial invitation to you and your family members to join us to this 4th Interfaith Husayn Day programme to commemorate the life and mission of Imam Husayn (A). This event aims to build on the similarities amongst all faiths today, and work together to encourage empowerment in today’s society. The afternoon will feature leading professionals, along with well-known theatre actors all with the common aim of developing ones self through stories from different faiths.
Background: Imam Husayn (A) the grandson of Holy Prophet (pbuh) of Islam stood firmly for truth and justice at the time of oppression and falsehood some 1400 years ago. His ultimate sacrifice to uphold the fundamental human principles paved way for many great future leaders and human right upholders to lead their stance using Imam Husayn as their role model. Many of such aspects from different great faiths will be discussed and presented on this Interfaith Husayn day.
We would be greatly honoured and look forward to your presence at this function which will be attended by local Politicians and followers of many religions and persuasions.
