SIM Higher Education Department presents:

The 3 “C’s” of Incurable Disease: Coping, Compassion and Care

Terminal illness and ‎bereavement are phenomena that touch all of us in our life’s whether directly or indirectly.

This can be a really trying period and can have great emotional, spiritual and even financial consequences.

The purpose of these sessions with Dr Qamar Abbas is to help us understand how best to support those affected and be better equipped to deal with the fallout for families and colleagues.

Hustings - FinalSalaam’un Alaykum

We are delighted to announce that Hujjat, as part of its work with the Muslim Forum of Middlesex, will be hosting a hustings event for the Harrow East constituency candidates on Sunday, 15 March 2015

Harrow East is a key marginal seat, with just a few points separating the candidates. It has been identified by the national media as one of the key marginal seats which will decide the election.

The event will allow members of the audience to ask questions directly to the candidates on a range of policies. Therefore, we would like to invite you to submit your questions ahead of the event by emailing Hustings@Hujjat.org If selected, you will be called upon by the moderator on the day to pose your question to the candidates. Your questions may relate to:
• Economic affairs;
• Foreign policy;
• NHS and social care;
• Education policy;
• Faith issues;
• Environment and climate change; and
• Any other areas of policy of interest.

The event will begin at 4 pm with the recitation of the Holy Quran and end at 7 pm. Dinner will be served.

• Dementia currently affects 80,000 in the UK of which 25,000 are estimated to be in the ethnic minority community;
• Dementia remains a ‘taboo’ topic in our community and is rarely discussed;
• Visitors are able to receive free, tailored, and confidential advice if they are worried about their memory or that of a loved one, living with dementia or caring for someone with dementia from locally trained Alzheimer’s Society staff.
