Hilal Statement: Dhu al-Hijjah 1434

newmoon2-28-06The Astronomical New Moon is on Saturday 5 October 2013 at 0136 BST. The crescent could be visible in South America and Polynesian Islands on this day.

On Sunday, 6 October 2013, it will be visible almost everywhere except the Northern Latitudes in Asia and Europe.

1st Dhu al-Hijjah 1434AH will be on Monday 7 October 2013 for the Muqallideen of Ayatullah Sistani and Marhum Ayatullah Khui in most parts of Europe.
