Marhum Ayatollah Sheikh Ali Safi Golpaygani

We regret to inform you of the sad demise of Marhum Ayatollah Sheikh Ali Safi Golpaygani who passed away in Golpaygan, Iran today. He was the brother of Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani and the religious legacy of Marhum Grand Ayatollah Taki Behjat. He was aged 99 years and was a student of the famous Grand Ayatollah Boroujerdi.
He will be buried tomorrow, Tuesday 5 January 2010 in Golpaygan.
Mu’mineen are requested to recite Sura-e-Fateha for the Marhum.
Fateha-Khani for the Marhum has been organised on Thursday 7th January at 7.30pm at the Hussaini Islamic Centre, Stanmore.
