Statement on recent Shia killings in Egypt
In: Latest NewsThe KSIMC of London strongly condemns the horrific killing of Shia Muslims in Egypt including the prominent cleric Shaikh Hassan Shehata.
This action goes against the principles of Islam and the teachings of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) who espoused mercy, kindness and tolerance.
We welcome the condemnation by the Egyptian government and hope that the perpetrators of this heinous crime will be brought to justice and urge the Egyptian people to practice tolerance and respect for fellow Muslims.
We also call on the Muslim Ummah (Community) at large to distance themselves from such sectarian violence which only brings disunity and harm to Islam.
Our prayers are with the families of the innocent victims and pray that Allah (SWT) grants his infinite mercy on the martyrs souls and grant them an abode within the vicinity of the fourteen Holy Infallibles (A).
