An introduction to the beautiful use of language in the Holy Qur’an and Islamic poetry
Take a unique and fascinating journey through Qur’anic verses and Islamic poetry to explore how poetic devices are used to convey beauty and meaning and inspire reflection and insight!
Students will engage in a variety of interactive activities including:
Class discussion, pair talk, brainstorming, imaginative listening, reflective/critical thinking exercises and creative expression through art and drama.
Materials required: Colouring pencils, coloured markers, highlighters, pen/pencil, scissors and glue stick
All students will be provided with copies of the verses and poems discussed and a poetic scrapbook to contain all written and creative work.
