This is a reminder that further to previous announcements made during our programmes, deadline for submission of nominations for the post of Charilady is Wednesday 24 June 2015. All nominations should be addressed to the Honorary Secretary of the KSIMC of London.
On behalf of the Executive Committee of KSIMC of London, we are pleased to announce that the distinguished scholar, Shaykh Dr Murtadha Alidina will be with us for the first 9 nights of the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1436.
He will be lecturing every night commencing from Thursday 18 June 2015 until Friday 26 June 2015. The lectures will focus on his speciality subject, Tafseer of the Holy Qu’ran.
Two seminars are also planned with Shaykh Alidina on Saturday 20 June and Friday 26 June 2015. Further information on these will be ciruclated shortly.
Shaykh Dr Murtadha Alidina is a leading lecturer in the Shi’a world today. Born in Zanzibar, he attained his medical degree from the Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences, Dar-es-Salaam, and later went to Iran to study Islam. He has studied in Iran for more than 15 years and is currently residing in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
In July 2009, The International Mustafa University of Qum awarded him with an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of his work in the field of Education and Tabligh.
Shaykh also specialises in the Holy Qur’an. Any question he is asked, he immediately pulls out his small pocket Qur’an and knows where the answer is. His knowledge of the Holy Qur’an is like an Encyclopedia.

Inspirational Minds in collaboration with the Ramadan Health Awareness Campaign and Health Improvement Board COEJ are hosting a Health Awareness Day on Sunday 21st June from 5pm at Hujjat, Stanmore.
We are a team of health and social care professionals offering holistic advice and support to achieve physical, emotional and social well-being. We will be addressing a range of needs across different ages, with stations including learning disabilities, well-being and mental health, physiotherapy, dementia, advice on residential homes, bereavement, and end-of-life care.
There will also be a number of screening tests available, and consultations with the GP, pharmacist, dentist and optometrist. This is a unique opportunity to access a wide range of services in one place and to talk to someone about any concerns you may have. Please bring a list of your medications for review.

1. “It is hereby resolved that the Executive Committee elected at the 2015 Annual General Meeting will use all reasonable endeavours to reconvene constitutional meetings soon for the deliberation of the amended constitutional clauses and rules with a view to adopting the amended Constitution and Rules by 31 December 2015.” Proposed by Aqeel Merchant.
2. “A small group of our community members, having closely followed the purchase, management and administration of the KSIMC’s property at Grove Vale in Ruislip over the last 15 years, has important points to make to the General Body to protect the interest of the Community and submission of a proposal to achieve the objective.” Proposed by Dr Amir Lakha and Seconded by Alhaj Shaukat Harji and Alhaj Rafik Mawji
3. “It is hereby resolved Not to grant a new lease of KSIMC’s property at Grove Vale Ruislip.” Proposed by Dr Amir Lakha and Seconded by Shaukat Harji
4. “It is hereby resolved to form a sub-committee to deal with comprehensive Strategic plan of Grove Vale Ruislip property.” Proposed by Dr Amir Lakha and Seconded by Shaukat Harji
5. “In light of two previous applications for our school having been rejected, resulting in considerable time and resources being expended, it is hereby resolved that a Special General Meeting be called within six weeks of this meeting to consider the viability of this project.” Proposed by Mohsin Kaba and Seconded by Riyaz Mamdani
6. “IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Resolution 2 passed at the Special General Meeting held on 28 November 2014 be rescinded.” Proposed by Shabir Mamdani.
7. “IT IS HEREBT RESOLVED THAT in connection with the purchase and development of the property known as C&L Country Club, the Executive Committee shall not enter into the sale of or placement of a charge, lien or the raising of debt over existing Stanmore and Ruislip properties.” Proposed by Shabir Mamdani
Further to the notice released on 3 June 2015, the Secretariat is now in receipt of a Manifesto from Mustafabhai Mohamed (Jaffer) for the forthcoming Excecutive Committee elections to be held on Sunday 14 June 2015.
Whilst there is no deadline for nominations for the forthcoming Executive Committee elections on Sunday 14 June 2015, any Presidential/Team manifestos received by the Secretariat on/after Sunday 7 June 2015 will Insh’Allah be placed on the Jamaat website within 24 hours of receipt.
We hope that by providing the ability for any candidate to communicate to the whole community in advance of the elections in a fair and equal way, we can increase the transparency of our election process.
