MORNING PROGRAM: Ladies Majalis Parking in the Centre only. Please do not park on the Rugby Forecourt and on the driveway leading to the ladies car park. NO PARKING AT ANYTIME ON THE LADIES FORECOURT entrance area by the Marquee

Stanmore Hill:  Stanmore side and its side streets are NOT to be utilised for parking by attendees at anytime. The side streets off Warren lane are a NO PARKING AREA as well due to requirements of traffic being able to flow freely. [see pictures attached]

Qur’an Recitation & Memorisation Competition

The competition will be held on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th December 2015

The Winners will be announced on 9th Rabiul Awwal – Sunday 20th December

Participation in more than one competition category is not allowed.

Deadline for registration for entry in the competition will be Saturday 31st October 2015. Send your registration details on darulquran@hujjat.org

Registration fee of £3 to be paid on the day of the competition.

Hujjat Saturday Workshop and Ladies Committee have organised Eid ul Ghadeer Celebrations to take place on Saturday 3rd October at 11:50am.


Programme consists of Ghadeer Presentation by Ummulbanin Merali, Nasheed Recitations and a play by the Hujjat Saturday Workshop Students. The will all be followed by Salaat and Tabaruk.

The Higher Education Department (HED) of the SIM Madressa are honoured to welcome Dr Chris Hewer to our centre on Sunday 4th October to speak about how we can universalise the message of Imam Hussain and make it relevant to people of all faiths.

Dr Chris Hewer comes from a background in Christian theology, education, Islamic studies and inter-faith studies and has worked in the field of Muslims in Britain and Christian-Muslim relations since 1986, first at the Centre for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations at Selly Oak in Birmingham and from 1999 to 2005, as the Adviser on Inter-Faith Relations to the Bishop of Birmingham. From 2006-2010, he was the St Ethelburga Fellow in Christian-Muslim Relations in London, with a brief to deliver adult popular education courses, study days and talks around Greater London‎.

‎We will be welcoming people of all faith and none to our Centre so we can collectively learn from the teachings of Imam Hussain and apply it to topics of everyday relevance.

He will be discussing a wide range of issues, with particular emphasis on the Leadership of Imam Hussain and the Role of Women in the Tragedy.

Please do attend and bring along a neighbour, friend or colleague to the event and share the wisdom of the Imam (as)’s life with humanity at large.

We regret to inform you of the sad demise of Marhum Pyarali Gulamali, husband of Razia Pyarali Gulamali who passed away today in London.

Salaatul Mayyit will be prayed after Salaatul Dhurayn (1.15pm) on Thursday 17 September 2015. Burial thereafter at Brookwood Cemetery.

Mu’mineen are requested to recite Salaatul Wahshat / Hadiya-Mayyit after Maghribayn prayers on Thursday evening.

2) Consideration of the proposed constitutional amendments submitted by Br Abul-Kassim Meghjee, and seconded by Dr Munir Datoo, on 26th November 2014 pursuant to clause 12(i) and adoption thereof, if approved.

Darul Qur’an – New Classes for Ladies

Darul Qur’an is pleased to announce a new Qur’an class in September 2015 with Sister Zainab Sheriffi (a qualified teacher of Qur’an). 

The classes will run every Wednesday from 11am to 12.30pm starting from Wednesday 9 September 2015 in the Annexe Building

The classes are open for ladies aged 20-35 

Requirement – Fluency in Qur’an recitation (even if rules of tajweed are not known). 

Deadline to register your interest is Monday 31 August 2015. To register, please email darulquran@hujjat.org (limited spaces available.) 

Confirmatoin and more details will be sent to applicants after the deadline.

Notice: Open Meetings (Shura)

Dear Members,
Salaamun Alaykum

To facilitate greater communication between the Jamaat and members, a number of Open Meetings (Shura) will be held throughout the year. These will be on various themes or tagetted at various sections of the community. Insh’Allah they will allow members an opportunity to ask the Executive questions about the runing of the organisation and allow the EC to share more information with members.

The first Shura will be held on Wednesday 2nd September for LADIES ONLY. This will start at 8.20pm (after Salaat) in the Ladies Hall. The Chairlady and female members of the Executive Committee will be available for ladies to share their thoughts on the centre management.

The second Shura will be held on Friday 4th September for both Ladies and Gents. This will start at 7.52pm with Salaatul Maghribayn in the ELC 1st Floor. The topic of discussion will be the C&L Club Property Project. The Property Committee will share the latest developments with the community and further discussion will be had regarding its progress and direction. This session will be an opportunty for the community to hear information that is not possible to share on the website. There will be no live broadcast. As a project of great importance to the community both men and women are encouraged to attend.

Notice: Monthly OBs Surgery

To facilitate a greater transparency between the Jamaat and its members, the Office Bearers (OBs) of The KSIMC of London will be holding monthly surgery sessions. Members can book 15 minute appointments with the Office Bearer on duty in advance of the session and discuss any matter of their choosing. These sessions will be held on either Thursday evenings or Sunday mornings in the President’s Office on the 1st floor of the Centre.
 
The first session will insh’Allah start on Thursday 6 August 2015 between 8 – 8:45pm. Appointments are open to male or female members and can be booked by sending an email request to admin@hujjat.org or calling the Jamaat Office (10am – 4pm) on 020 8954 6247
